now my system consist of 5 amps

bass is about 320amps

and mids is 180amps

i have 2 110 alternators

and 5 kinetik 12/16 volt batteries

wit the car off my voltage is about 12.5 and wit it on it is about 13.8

when my bass hits it goes from 13.8 straight down to between 11.8 - 12.3

also the allternator starts spinning slower as if all the current is being

sucked out

is there a way i can atleast keep the voltage out of the 11 range?

would more batteries help? would bigger alternators help?

no i have not done BIG 3 yet **casper stickin**

what rpm does your engine be turning at for the voltage to drop to 11.8 - 12.3V?? usually at least 1600rpm would be required for those alts to start producing some decent power..

i know it is over 1rpm but not sure if it is up to 1.6

it is normal cefiero alternators

so a higher rpm should help the voltage?

you will get quite alot more output at 2000 engine rpm vs 1000 engine rpm.. i'd suggest idling your engine higher while playing.. try between 1500 - 2000rpm while playing all out..

will cost u some gas $ to do be playing at a higher engine rpm

might be better to invest in a nice 350A HO alt from 1 of those companies in d usa (might cost around us$500-600) so u will be getting d full output from ur amps & wont have any more current problems especially for long gallery playing ...

this tuner noyztoyz

will be stock soon
300 amp alternator made for use in daily driver vehicles, 300amps at only 2000rpm, not no 5000rpm+ like other brands. You could race to 6000rpm on the highway and it wont damage it. Comes with external voltage regulator for 13-20volts so you could turn it up when is time to crank and lower it down when yuh resting, also can be used on a 16v battery bank.
Best deal on a alternator you can get. Is universal fit so you will have to get a small bracket made, i took 30 mins to make mine, one a dis 300amp alternator in use in a daily vehicle is on demo in my vehicle.
Put the best, the extra money you spend on this will save u money on your battery bank. U will also get a guarantee against failure.
Brand - Excessive amperage

is tru, yall could come check me when my sytem all hooked up and see how it keeps up voltage and i does drive it all day long.

The newer alts out of the states rated 300 amps are built for this purpose.
I sell them with external regulators, so when you hit the highway, turn your voltage down to 13.0 and drive how hard you want..
Mine is there almost 1 month now..

sit down and rev your car to 3000 rpm then crank your music and see how much higher your current sits at.
Then you would know if u need more alternators.

if dat doh help i would go with Rovin's idea and buy a good HO alternator with a daily driving rotor and external voltage regulator so u could make highway runs with it.

btw can you charge a 12/16V dual pole battery with 13.8V????

My question is how are you currently charging the batteries?

I not too familiar with the 12/16V batteries,

But i am guessing you need to charge the batteries as you would any 16V battery (optimally 18V), and the battery would then output a 12V through its 3rd pole is needed.

So are you currently charging 16V batteries with a 12/14.4V alternator?

I just now saw this thread and the big 3 shud have NOT been neglected and what Lance said. From the alternators he's using I'm assuming he's charging at ~13.8V
