Intake installed Guys
STOCK INTAKE:
 | | Click for full-size. |
SRI:
SUPPORT BRACKET for SRI:
Cost:
Reverse Cone K&N Filter = $500.00
18" 45 degree Aluminium (3" bore) pipe = $150.00
Tappet filter = $60.00
2.5" to 3" Throttle body adapter = $40.00
Support Bracket and fabrication = $100.00
2 hose clamps = $10.00
TOTAL = $850.00
I only used ~ 12" of the pipe. had to chop off ~ 6"
while the TB is 2.75", I could not find a 2.75" to 3" silicon adapter (the cheap ones) so I had to force ffit a 2.5" to 3" which wasn't too hard.
more detailed testing results to come
so far, the effect on low end performance is felt
ECU was reset.

Can anyone point out if that intake modification improves mileage? I currently have a K&N OEM which seemed to improve fuel consumption. No clue if it's actual or mental |

Wow, just ran into a little problem there. Glass on drivers side refusing to go down .. all other windows work.
Is this something I can troubleshoot myself or do I need an electrician like immediately?
it's a 2001 cs3a ...glx |

| Yep! that IS the trut. He stopped be me this weekend. And I was so impressed with his look I decided to try it ... still doesn't come close to his look though. The shape of the car, the wheel colour, etc all have the car looking good. |

Hey fellas how often do you all change CVT fluid ?
been keeping my services up to date but never changed it since i got the car.Wondering if it will become a problem later on.

Man pass by faiz and buy 6 qts of the diamond sp3 fluid. then run by masterserv and let them do a flush .. $145 i think + vat
I think i waited too late to do mine and the tranny started acting funny i.e. drive and reverse engaging with a sharp jerk. I've heard some other horror stories. Better to spend the lil cash to maintain than 8 gran to rebuild.
On the other hand.
fras, you were on the money with that hitting the door thing. glass working now
thanks |
