I got around to sorting out the humming sound on Blondie
just as predicted - wheel bearings
Changed them both, they were kinda bad
Mech said he used NTN
sorry I can't say what the was the bearing number as he had already thrown out the boxes in the garbage when I went to collect the car.
Estimating the both cost $700.00 as the total bill was $1000.00 (bearings + labour to change oil and wheel bearings)
Noise gone completely.
Now is just to do an allignment as she pulling aa bit to the left |

yeah car go bless with som mayaro salt tomoro.
anyway after the ordeal with the injector connector being lose the car still didn want to start the next morning.
then i called in the mechanic (a new one with some class and perseverance)
he said off the bat it was fuel pump and told me he would scrap it and clean it.
a marked improvement from other poser mechs that want to send u to buy a new pump.
when he mounted up everything the car was starting whenever it feel to surprise us. then we checked the fuel tank pump (which btw is in the fuel tank...a small ass fuel tank to be exact). we changed the new pump back to the old pump and like a revival of missing parts, the car started.
and it started again, and even this morning..without issue.
so after spending about jus over $1k, all we ended up doing is cleaning the old engine pump and putting back in the old fuel tank pump.
now for the damages:
- broke a bolt in one of the newer engine fuel pumps (i have 3 in stock)
- wasted $395 for a in tank pump by bobbys that wasnt giving the car the minimum psi to start
- damaged a couple O rings, thank god i have in stock |

^ ^ ^ the thrill of extra parts does overwhelm him
Anytime he suspect a part defective he does run and buy it. AFTER checking the mech and then finding out the correct part that needed, he does buy that too and consider the prevoius part a spare
Next time u need an intank pump taht giving low pressure, at least yuh have one |

QG, as far as cosmetics are concerned the 05-06 has bumpers that are extended like how my CS5's are to the CS3's
other than that everything else supposed to be the same cept for differing trim levels |

Didn't someone say that the '07 CS3 had 114 wheel spacing ?
Anyone else can confirm this
You sure that '05 got those new factory flairs on front & rear bumpers
The '07 got the new factory flairs on front & rear bumpers as well as a nicer improved 3-spoke sport steering wheel
The local '07 had black tappet covers
And Idle - I tell yuh scan the car b4 yuh buy anything that yuh didn't already have as a spare. Just like with ronsin1, If yuh had listen to me too, yuh would have saved a $400.00 - punk |

I scanned the car cyap
yuh ever try scanning the car for fuel pressure?
Launch not reading it once the car not started.
Evoscan ecuflash doesnt have a fuel pressure reading and scantool has fuel pressure but it not reading on the gdi |

Alright on to other things, the time to change oil brands from castrol to shell full synth is soon approaching.
One thing i notice when checking the oil is that its always dark brown, even after driving it after an oil change, so i was considering flushing the engine to clean it before switching oils, what you all think?
Remember i have a GDI. |

ZeroOne
you been using mineral in that GDI, so brown colour is kinda expected
i used to get that in my CK (4g15 DOHC) when i used to use Castrol GT-X mineral
not soon after a oil change though
when you change your oil you don't always get out all teh old oil (especially if you have an oil cooler
flushing is not a bad idea
but you have to be careful of the flush used for reasons mentioned in the link above
what I would do is to:
empty the current castrol
put in a Shell Helix Plus (semi-synthetic) and run it for ~ 2 days (normal and hard driving) - this is my flush
then switch to the shell full synthetic and run for ~ 8,000km
then use teh shell full synthetic for teh 10,000km intervals |

venum, das alot of $$ spending in Oil
I used Scant's way and it worked for me.
the Engine Flush and the Flushing Oil is reasonably priced
and you get a whole bucket of Flushing Oil for <$200 which could do about 4 flushes |
