The Camden air strip is not the property of Briko. Camden is the property of Caroni (1975) Ltd. and so the Gov't.

AFAIK the gates and the concrete car park area that Briko have blocked are also property of Caroni - however since the letter from the Gov't stated that TTASA was bound to "all statutory guidelines" the safety issues raised by Briko would stand.

take a look at the international commercial airport in St.Maarten.........
tell me if there is 1000 feet from the hotel, beach, public road....
then look at Camden airfield.........whose regs who following ??

^ Isnt the Issue raised by Briko about the 1000 ft is that no one (person or racecar) should be within 1000 ft from the FUEL FACILITY.

The Hotel, Beach and Road in St Maarten is much further than the 1000 ft of their Fuelling facility. The only thing there is the Runway starts right by the Road/Beach which is not really different to Piarco .. just that we dont have a Beach ...

then..please...close the road in front........stop all spark-ignition vehicles from driving/parking NEXT to the 'fuelling facility'.............
...
one rule for them & another for others ???
from the get-go, briko viewed us as a threat to their intentions on 'getting' control of the airfield.......the same way they 'acquired' the rats'-ar$e piece of land their building stands on next to the airfield..........
...

Would anyone like to remind the public and link as to why those regs were put in place for TTASA and use of Camden, i.e., what precipitated them?

Was it TTASA or TTMF who developed the circuit track?
I wonder what will be done with the $500,000.00?
Motorsport is really suffering in sweet T&T and we have sooo Much Skill Here.

^ It seem thats the norm these days ....

TTASA were the original occupiers of Wallerfield from way back when. Then they farted around and everybody left them to do their own thing. When this happened they tried to muscle in on those who were doing good.

When this failed, they tried to play ball like with ASPL, signed an agreement, then kick them out I think in 2005. ASPL went to the North Track, start to develop that and made magic .... then TTASA hand them an injunction, that was settled with another consent order, but the pressure continued over the years.

So TTMF come in, going great, spend real money overhauling the mess that was the circuit, never had we seen so much Circuit cars in recent times .... International Circuit Racing was taking place ... and then TTASA step in again… ”yuh have to put down 600 tyres, all size 13” for safety, so TTMF back out.
Then TTASA themselves start back circuit, NO TYRES NEEDED! ... surprised ?

This is where Motorsport stand today !

October 2007, 100 competitors, 10,000 patrons
August 2008, 25 competitors, 500 patrons

Are we moving forward ?
