Concerned Drag Racers - 2nd meeting 19th May

So it is confirmed that we will be having our second meeting on:

Tuesday 19th May at the Towers, Grand Bazzar from 7:00 – 9:00pm

Main points will be the Constitution,
selecting an interim Management Team
and planning our first get together ....

– a Swap Meet carded for Sunday 31st May at Grand Bazzar – North side.

A facebook page for a local Magazine. They are meeting with the minister of sport and want your questions. I am sure the people at this mag don't even know where the battery in their car is, but use it as an opportunity to ask a question!!!!!

Planning well on the way for the May 31st Swap Meet at GB with several attractions being offered, apart from the nice people who normally attend anything Motor Sport…

Gordon Rooks will be providing his car scales so you can weigh your car and find out the weight at each wheel for balancing purposes and total weight.

Garvin’s Auto Shop will be setting up the in-house timing system to test your reaction skills.

Also a display from NOT more than 5 of the better-prepared Audio Cars coordinated by IASCA main man Shazad R. – this is NOT going to be a noise-making affair.

Do not forget that the main focus will be on the swap meet – where all motor sport people would have bought stuff that is no longer required, is now sitting down collecting dust, and you have a chance to sell-exchange-barter to others who may just be looking for what you have pushed aside.

But please, ensure the items are in good condition and clean.

Would love for all serious Drag racers to get involved and possibly use this first event as a spring board and our own initiative to raise funds for Shelshok in the challenging times he now has to face.

The swap meet event is free - no charge for persons to attend.

Only those who will be ordering a 10 x 10 tent will pay a fee for the tent and the tables and chairs.

So however anyone wants to make a commitment to assist in this event and also make a donation to the Shelshok-fund, we are welcome to your ideas.

The sky is the limit with this and hope that we all can come together and be generous in this particular cause for a good, talented and genuine brother.

And the more people attending will also be a positive in our drive to have all the Drag Racing fraternity coming together.
