want ot know what causing this when my engine is started my clutch makes a rattling noise but as i press the pedal the noise stops and while driving i dont hear it at all what could be causing this

Sounds like your release or pilot bearing needs changing

Is it a new clutch...with many performance clutches they chatter a lot. Its pretty normal. If your clutch is not new and you are only now getting this noise, as said it may be your release bearing.

release bearing or your flywheel bolts could have came loose

could be the springs in the clutch plate rattling as well....

put the car in neutral an start an slightly mash accelerator an if th enoise is heard the pilot bearing may be at fault

Its the release bearing. - Had this identical problem on my big spline sr gearbox.

is a six puck spring loaded clutch and the noise started when the clutch was broken in so is it the clutch or the bearing

change the pilot bearin an check the release bearin. if you hearin the noise wen the pedal is depressed then is release bearin but you stated wen you mash the clutch the noise gone...
