My first question is which D15 you have currently vtec or non vtec Question
Second is what kind of performance you want to get Question

For more power you could swap your D15 non vtec for a b16a engine.
Or you could go the simple and cheaper route by buying a D15b 3stage vtec engine and add on some simple mod's eg CAI, apexi fuel controller
extractors, lightweight flywheel, and so on.

Listen guys I know you are all 'B' Series fan boys, anybody even mentions swap it leads to the generic answer of put in a b16 or b18.........BORING. Who among you is going to try and be different and blaze your own trail. Now don't get me wrong I myself can't deny the allure of a well built high revving b series but at what, 15-18 grand before you pay the mechanic to install.........is this the most bang for your buck I say take the 15 grand purchase an f23, H2B kit, b series gear box, extractors, apexi neo, walbro pump, some bigger brakes maybe off an accord some steel braided break lines, whew I am getting excited....lol but you get the picture I hope. It is not the most popular choice and a lot of the very knowledgeable Honda fan can give reasons why this may not be practical but just giving you something else to think about. Very Happy #alien

The man want a lil pep, not slicks.
A D is good enough. 3 stage with breather mods and maybe the neo. But the 3 stage usually comes with a cvt tranny, and he want a tranny.
So D15Z instead or D16Y8.

And The B engine isn't the be all and end all of Honda, but dey still bad like crab. So there isn't any fanboyism, just that people have sense.
