| no, the idle dipping, has to do with the fac that when you pump the brakes, you're forcing air into the intake, threreby unsettling the fuel/air mixture, etc. any time you brakes becomes extremely hard, as if the engine were off, your booster is goin. |

I'm not to sure, but if the idle dips that means ur leakin vacum,so the booster could b going bad.
Isn't a speongy peddle a sign of a bad booster as well?
*waitin to b corrected* |

| when i had this problem, the mechanic took of the vacuum hose to the booster, plugged it and i drove a little bit to see if the idle was still dipping, i cant remember honestly but i didnt change the booster but there was a leak in one of the vacuum lines and well the problem sorta sorted itself out |

The point of having a brake servo/booster is to soften the pedal!!!! if the pedal soft when the engine running, booster good!! bleed the bleddy brakes!!!(no pun intended ) |

yes this is true changed two boosters in one of my cars already. on the flip side if your pedal beomes very soft and you need to sink it right down to get a response then it the master cylinder. |
