| Nigson, the car is pulling to the left, you get a slight wobble when u are driving let say like in traffice 5-20 kmph on the left front wheel - they say it is road surface. if you are driving on a straight road and let go the steering it goes straight for a couple seconds then the car pulls progressively left. |

With respect to the pulling to the left, it could be as a result of the paving operations that the MOW&T have been carrying out. If the screed on the paver is not set properly, then the resulting asphalt surface may have a greater crossfall (transverse slope) than what it should have. This increase in crossfall could cause you to experience a slight pull to the left.
Do you get the pull on all roads?
How do you know it's specifically the left front wheel that is wobbling? |

Rory Phoulorie, pulls on all roads... if i want to move from the right lane to the left in a 3 lane highway all i have to do is let go the steering.
i have been throught that with thinking it is road surface etc. |

| Have you ever tried switching around the tyres? A diagonal swap just to see if the same problem exists after you do this? |

Do they have an unofficial view?
The same way that you are noticing the problem, did any of their representatives go for a test drive with you so that they can see for themselves that there is indeed a problem with the car? Did anyone unofficially acknowledge that there is a problem?
You didn't answer my question about how do you know it's the front left wheel that is wobbling. You wouldn't be able to sense which wheel it is through the steering wheel, so how are you so sure that it's the front left wheel. Pulling to the left and wobbling are two different things. Please forgive my directness with these questions, but I am just trying to understand the problem.
Have you tried searching for any Technical Service Bulletins for that make and model of car where the manufacturer would have highlighted such a problem and provided a remedy for it? |

Every thing you do and all forms of communication SHOULD and MUST be documented for proof further down the line .....................
I had a FUCUS- had one small problem but it was rectified under warranty............ getting my promised 60% trade back in was the problem with them.......... i almost had to take them to court ! |

| Maybe you should insist on the a technician and a manager go with you on a test drive of the car so they could see first hand what you're talking about. Then as additional confirmation of the problem, the 3 of you should then test drive another car on the same route you took b4, and at the same speeds, then compare the two. |

primera5fwd,
i personally find that this is real nonsense. this company is really taking advantage of you here. i think they should get rid of this attitude.
i did a small bit of research for you. Now ford, like most major companies, has a strict code of ethics and corporate governance policies. My advice to you, is to write to the board of directors. go above the heads of these guys here. Now they claim that they acknowledge receipt of all correspondence, so put your return info.
Board of Directors
Ford Motor Company
P.O. Box 685
Dearborn, MI 48126-0685
U.S.A.
i am pretty certain, if ford parent group contacts mc.ear. down here you will get some results. always remember, the legal system in trinidad is not what it is in the states and ford has said openly that they are at a real disadvantage and don't like litigation.
in addition to sending that letter, call and state your case, ask their advice and a plan of action. if they tell you to contact your local dealer tell them this is futile and give them your story. if you meet a block here, you would still have sent your official complaint to the board. contact all of these here to improve your chances. since your snail mail will take a few days, if i were you i'd call them today and start the ball rolling. say things like you are disappointed in ford, this is not what you expected, if this is the kind of customer service, you won't be getting another ford, you would rather not have to go to court. that kinda gets them antsy. see info below:

really i hope you get through. it would be good if they just replace your car.
pm me and let me know if they get you sorted. |

Was this car ever used as a test vehicle? On another note my previous B14 and current EK4 all pull slightly to the left similar to what you're experiencing except for the wobbling feeling. Granted this may happen after the car has been on the road for a couple years due to the way they pave roads in TT and should not happen to a new car.
Had both vehicles checked extensively by Mileage Mack....all suspension settings within factory limits but problem still felt.
Service technicians say it's the road surface cause their systems show all settings are to factory spec. |

thanks guys - i hope i can answer some of your questions
i wrote a response to the managers official response
other technicians at mc earney have experienced the problem - but no one is to talk to me but the GM - he advised his employees against talking to me - he says they are lookin for a problem with the vehicle
there are 2 problems with the vehicle wobble and pulling
i think the wobble is on the left because if u sitting passenger side front seat with your foot on the wheel arch you can feel a slight uneven when driving 5-20
i emailed the ford corporate office waiting for response
i am to see a lawyer on monday.
i dont know to what extent milage mack checked the vehicle |

Man I feel for you, I had a PBO focus about 4 years ago, this car gave me problems from day one. I got it from the stealership with an a/c which needed gassing, then catalytic converter went, then lower control links on the front wheels, then coil pack all in the first year of owning. Mind you the problems were just getting started, the following year the steering rack went, the rear left wheel bearing was shot to the point of my wheel almost coming off on the Lady Young Road, then my transmission failed on Lady Young one evening after work with my Mom, little brother and girl friend in the car.
This was the last straw after the stealership kept denying that they sold me a lemon, I took my case to the GM and they repaired the transmission at Jenton for a bit over 6k and I finally sold the car.
Never went back to that deal$h!t; I did however go to Classic, paid a premium price for the new civic but since then I have never had a problem with my new car.
To put it into perspective, I’ve had the civic for a year and a half and within that same time I replaced almost 6 - 8 parts on that Ford. For the same period I have replaced nothing on the Civic. |

the window going off the track is because of the tint job, basically the rubber is folded in and the glass is following the folded rubber, easy fix with a dull knife. If you hearing a light rattle at the back of the car, its the back dash which needs reseating, some of the white clips which can be seen from the trunk are loose.
I haven't had these problems myself but i know of a couple people with identical issues which we sorted out. |
