ive done some research and FROM WHAT IVE READ, 6-8 psi is fine for stock internals for H22, but anythin above that, build it, cuz it will blow up

it will not "blow up" the head will start to lift...
so put some ARPs and ur good for 10, 11, this is where the rod and fail...
at 13, the pistons will fail...
some have pushed it higher, but i will not...

Your engine will safely take up to about 8psi on the stock set up. You can go higher but thats the time bomb territory. Do as Kes mentioned and put in the head studs for security. Don't skimp on quality parts either, unless your Apexi unit is a Power FC then get rid of it and go Hondata, Crome, etc. DO IT RIGHT

BTW....make sure you're suspension is set up to make the most of the power you'll be putting out.

if you are using a neo, you should up the injectors, get a FPR, and a BTM a pull some timing...
but it will be alot better to sell the neo and get some form of EMS and 450cc injectors.

A stupid questio guys, but what about a boost controoler and solenoid to give a tapering boost level, so that at faster engine speeds, the boost will taper off to sayyyy 4-5 PSI, and peak at 7-8 a little lower down on the RPM range.

I dunno if thais an obvious question and done already. Embarassed Embarassed Embarassed

Is not the best idea in terms of power, but may be "safer' for the engine.

Emanage, hondata, powerfc, crome aem, any one of those...
it doe not matter what the stock injector are as honda has already set them to hit 90% at the redline of the motor...

crazybalhead, it is not so much, as "stay safe" but more more a question of control...
and the motor will want more boost as you go up in rpm, and you will feel the power loss badly.
it will safer, better to do it right, and make more power...

but it is a good move of your really note sure about the parts you have...
