nah...change it!
bicks/motorist/faiz at marabella...check any of those places.
You said engine...there is top mount and all kinda mounts that varies in price.
I changed a few of my mounts and it costed about $125 for one.
The mech said that the Foreign used does last longer than the new mounts and the foreign used cost more believe it or not...i was shocked! |

lol yea the FU ones are original japanese stuff, not any substitutes, so they SUPPOSED to last longer because of a higher quality rubber. oh and they really r more expensive |

do not polyurethane busted mounts.
it's wasting the process. the mount will already have unwanted movement, and then be rigid in places it should not be.
best advice, replace with foreign used. |

I ended up buying the new mounts instead, i want to see how long they last.
But I drove the wagon on 1 and 2 very hard a few times after I changed mounts and now the car start back to buck a bit when in D mode and a gear changes ...I real harden yes!
When the buck starts to increase, i will carry the wagon by the mech again to see what damages was done (i am just putting the new mounts to test nah).
I would tell anyone to use the Foreign Used mounts though |

| Ok, thanks for the info tuners. appreciate it alot. Will be going to get the FU mounts. thanks. Another thing, can mount replacement be a DIY (Do It Yourself) proceedure? Or do I "need" a mechanic to replace it? |

DIY.
i did it myself the first time.
just make sure to ONLY take off one mount at a time.
wtf brand u all buying for new mounts?!
those thigns should not be ripping so easily. I beat the living hell out of mine and never ripped a mount Well once cuz the car been thru 10 winters .
Filling busted mounts polyurethane has no ill effects that i ever came across. Just take your time and do it in layers to prevent air bubbles and to allow proper drying. |

| Driving hard does cause your mounts to damage. Kicking down while jumping off the accelerator pedal (or hitting brakes suddenly) does jerk the car up and puts pressure on them mounts. |

We use Japan made mounts...whether be it new or foreign used. That could explain it? |

^^^no not really.
I have taiwan mount in my car... granted I have prothane inserts and a solid rear mount set to almost max tension to the front mount
I wont trust FU mounts. Rubber deteriorate after time. Stop buying whatever you all buying and change brands lol |
