ok firstly u need to check where that coolant is leaking from.. if it reaches a low level in the radiator u will run a risk of overheating and f up your engine.. look out for leaking water jackets, there is a water hose running to the throttle body (at the back of it)--> observe for leaks also.. you may also need to check the coolant temperature sensor.. as for using the B13 fan.. wel this is supposed to cool just as efficient as the b14 (both are GA15's/16's)

thanks goolie...
will try to see where water is coming from,,its very difficult to see i know its not the water pump for sure i changed that....where exactly is the coolant temp sensor?..is it a good thing to have fan run directly and have it constantly on..?..and what about the other fan...should this be on also..or is that strictly for the a/c..?..from your experience when should fan cut in...when the temp needle is half way...above half....below half..? sorry for all these questions....spent a whole day on my car...with no positive results...you see i installed a new tank on my radiator..so thats in good condition and a new alternator as the other alt was shot..and a second hand b13 fan...as the b14 connector broke on the other one...so cooling right now is my main concern and problem...will i need an electrician or is this something i can do myself...? Sad (in terms of sensor)..thanks in advance.

ok have a look here.. located right behind the engiine oil cover.

both fans are supposed to come on when the temp reaches about half in the gauge cluster.. the correct way is not to have the fans run directly.. instead, when the temp reaches half it will come on.. when u put on the a/c, both will come on at the same time.
the sensor is easy to change once u have tools... if u need to re-wire the fans to cut in when they supposed to.. i suggest an electrician.. shouldn't cost much. Again, make sure u investigate that leak.. take the car for a spin or start it and observe for that leak/leaks. hope u get thru man..

hi goolie
thanks for all of your info it helped tremendously.i checked the 30 amp fuse and that was blown..replaced it and now only one fan cuts in...i,ll have to replace the other fan motor.....i jacked up the car and removed the wheel.....started the engine and went underneath to pinpoint this leak.i found traces of coolant underneath the power steering pump bracket..i know i,ll have to look further..not the easiest of places to pinpont......it looks like two options..remove the pwr steering pump..or the intake manifold...once again great info and pics..thanks a million..

Looks like your water pump may have a leak.
