yes we all know it's warm and humid without having your head stuck in a full face helmet for a minute or two.........besides febreeze, I have found the best way to keep your helmet from smelling like a stinky gym is to wear a balaclava.........as long as u remember to wash it after dex........available at any good bike shop

and no...........it does not have to cover your nose

Wearing a helmet at dex is like wearing a latex protective...
It's so much more pleasant and comfortable without one - until you start really enjoying yourself, then you're going too fast, something breaks... and you wish it didn't... and someone ends up in hospital... Embarassed

Even with those who have a/c, some of us need all the engine power we can get and choose to run without it, so this is great info!

Wearing a balaclava also has other functions other than being a sweatband.

normally they are made from fire resistant materials, Proban or Nomex to name a pair.

in evet of a fire you will be greatful you had one on, it would help preserve your face.

it also helps if you have a front wind screen shatter and blow in on you.

The sleeve of the balaclava will save your neck from being embedded with splinters of glass.

When you are going to buy a balaclava some of the things you should consider are.

How will it interact with your glasses if you do wear glasses
you current helmet size and fit
The type of hole, single open or twin port
If you will have an allergic reaction to the material it's made of.

once all these have been considered you are buying a piece of safety kit you will never regret owning.

I eh know 'bout all dat. (Thanks for de info, though) De reason I buy one was because dem say dat how you must dex wit' a helmet, an' I buy a second-hand one, an' mih sister say, Yuh wearing dat on your knob? You know who was wearing it before, an' what dey was doing wit' it?
She spray a set ah Febreeze in it an' say, dat good. Well, now self I frighten, because I know de kinda weird tings fellahs does do...
So I went out an' buy a kinda purple balaclava, because dat was de only one without a ganga leaf on it - an' I see enough ganga in my lifetime...

You use latex gloves while doing kinky stuff too? Which kind you prefer, the thin surgical ones, or the studded washing-up type (those give you a wicked rug-burn, eh...) Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil
