| nope. Then you will have to consider how many amps it is even if you get one to line up. Too low or hight and you could damage your battery and other components |

well the reason i considering a bigger alt is cuz i am a music guy,
i have a ck4 and lookin to get a 200amp alt, it would be charging the engine bay battery and 3 spv70 stinger
would that harm my components of the car itself ?

| doesn't the car pull the current that it needs electrical wise, it really the voltage output that will harm components so if you changinf your stock alternator make sure that the voltage is the same as the stock voltage |

so once the new alt is 12v it should be safe
any other things i would need to take in consideration ?
are there any jacks that may be different or anything like that ?

harry by the ice factory in south has 140A alt suitable for most cars ... and i think his price is reasonable like $2700 for it
now spam most pple are unaware about alt ratings .. i am a bit tired so i wont post it but i did post it on the ice forum .. do a search
thing is most aftermarket alt are rated at idle amps while some are rated to do max output at 2000rpm .. now bigger is not always better in this case.. because if u choose lets say the 300A alt the pple selling it forget to tell u that the alt is suitable for spl only cars ... the reason for this is because the windings and case is so big it needs to be spun at 2000rpm to keep the case cool if not the coils will get hot and burn due to the extreme heat beig generated ..
the 200A u may be thinkin of gettin will work fine an at idle will give u about 105A which is plenty better than most stock alts.. and as for the voltage issue ur electrical componants such as ur brain box and wipers do have a voltage tolerance of about 14.5-15v once ur charge voltage dont surpass that u should be good |

well as you say that what i was actually lookin for is a high amp alternator from a different brand of car, like a navigator, explorer or mustang. i see they use from 150-200amp stock alter.
so these should charge at a normal idle rate i guess.

so @ 150A they give about 80A at idle
right now i think i have an 80A how much is that at idle? i didnt have a problem with the smaller alternator but i guess it would just be a bit better if i get a bigger one to reduce the strain.
