|
|
Ok people I going and run a poll here.
It is common knowledge that prices are inflated in Trinidad even considering the inclusion of MV tax and VAT etc. Currently leasing a car in Trinidad is as expensive as purchasing it because of the round-robin the dealership does through the banks.
If a company was to offer affordable leasing options what would you think will be the best option(s) -
1) One Year lease with option to purchase
2) Two Year lease with option to purchase
3) Three Year lease with option to purchase
Also, which auto makers do you prefer to lease -
1) VW
2) Audi
3) MB
4) BMW
5) Mazda
6) Infiniti
Thanks. |

| I'd say a two or three year lease with a purchase option. I assume that the leasing would include everything but gas. As for the maker, I'd go with Audi, BMW or Mercedez Benz. |

Ok people this has been well noted.
Your dreams are likely to become a reality this year.
Definitly VW and Audi.
Amoung the VW tell me what you would rather see on the road -
1) GOLF GTi or R32
2) SCRIOCCO
3) EOS
4) PASSAT CC
All Audis will be avaialble except A6, A8 |

| Scriocco R for two - three year with option to purchase. As for the R32 its gonna be way to expensive when it comes to importing due to the size of the motor. |

Great poll. Two - three year lease with option to purchase and 1)VW and 2)Audi. I would like to see the latest model MK6 Golf 1.4 TSI and MK6 GTI Golf/Rabbit. For fleet/company purchases mostly. It would even be more persuasive, if the local distributors and our government dept. were to give an incentive inside the deal - too many taxes have deterred such decision making when it comes to choosing your fav. preference.
Let's face it. Yes, companies have budgeted for new car purchases. However, one would be more humble in their choices and probably go with what's not on the list above. Even if they were TDI engines.
Creating options/policies of such would help keep the economy sustained rather than slowing it down. Scriocco R engine that ups power from 197bhp to 207bhp, R32, EOS, Audi range and Infinite G37 Coupe such cars was designed for safety, comfort, personality, oh yes and did I mentioned speed. But I'd way my options on other brands as well. |

hence the reason why they have an all new front XDS electronic axle differential lock which gives the car an unbelievable corning capabilities.
Any good driver would tell u when it comes to FWD fast in, slow out. When compared to a RWD slow in, fast out. |

Leasing of 3 years with the option of purchase would be most attractive for companies, I know of several companies doing this right now.
My views are VW and Benz |

But I'd only want a one year lease. Would love either the Golf R32 or a BMW.
There's an Infiniti dealer in T&T |

By the time you handle the R32 you may keep for 2 yrs....lol.
Is it that the local dealer is now going to get heavy competition with these euro's? |

most new models come into T&T 2-3yrs after product launch/tests, if we're getting any R's it'll be the tail end of the 32's stocks which are out internationally. So he may be right TriniVub...lol.
There's even R Passats and R Jetta GTI being manufactured.

the pics shown is actually an MKV GTI tuned by APR, and the Jetta R is so far just a concept tuned by HPA. |

| Additional requirements relate to financial strength and also 15k km per year on the odometer just to name some basic points. Everything is in gear for this year. Starting with A3 and up to A5 |

these prices are quite similar to what you would pay the bank. I really cannot see what the benefits are if the leasing payments are the same rates as the monthly installments to actually own a car. |

Some of the Jetta R's have already been sold. Don't wanna jump the post.
Some comps just use it for one year or two Trinivub. Five years I'd purchase instead.

| Go to the bank and ask them what your installment would be for an A5 3.2. I'll bet it would be more than $10500. Do the same for a TTS and an RS3. |

At 5 yrs $10,500 yields to $630,000
If you can afford $10K a month plus gas why not just buy the damn car |
