hi fokes,

basically i wanna change the look of d almera and i think a nice exhaust tip is in order. its gonna be all about looks, i'm not ready for performance just yet. I'm not too sure on the piping size on the qg15 engine, i know its small, but the tip i want is 2.5 inches. its also a generic brand tip. i'm also thinking about removing the cat.
what i need to know is-
is it a problem to weld up the tip on the current piping??
what can be done to reduce the noise to a comfortable level, the tip comes with a silencer, is this enough??
also, i really really dont like seeing a shaking tip, what can be done to get it steady with out increasing in-car noise and vibrations??

thanks in advance fokes

yes the silencer is enough once is a good brand tip you buy and if you want it extra quiet you can buy the tip alone and leave the stock barrel but of course you will get some noise at high acceleration!

put a light tip or if you cant attach a extra rubber bracket to the end of the silencer minimize shaking !!!

orrr well that rell different .....well you will have to buy a relly good barrel like the HKS or a high end one for it to be lil quiet and sound good but almost all big barrels give you a loudish noise while driving but thise no scene ......yh worries now graduate from the noise and yh worries is the tone of the muffler Mr. Green eg BLAAA....from .....busssh #Fade in .....but ent is for looks yh must sacrifice something for another Sad

bout the shaking jes reinforce it with 2 rubbers on the sides ....that should stop the shaking !!!!

well is not that technical u know, in cuttin off the existing barrel and puttin up the new one...once its straight and welded properly u good to go
if the inlet size is way bigger than ur stock piping u can hav them flare a piece to bridge the gap rather than just fullin it with welding

eg) flare a piece of 1" pipe that goes over the stock exhaust and inside the inlet in the barrel to make it look kinda seamless
