Have any other suzuki drivers have a foul scent coming from the a/c at certain temperatures?
Air filter was changed but scent still remains
Anyone else ever had this problem?
Any solutions? |

^^Did the old ac filter have fungus/mould on it? If so, you possibly have mould growing your new AC/pollen filter. MIght be worthwhile to check it (somewhere under the glove box...depending on car), or and, clean it.
In the short term, run the A/C at full blast one the "fresh air" setting, and see it it goes away (it should help temporarily until the car is parked down again).
Now on the other hand, some swift guys (swift sport guys esp), complain of a strange smell when pushing the car hard on cold days, especially when the car is fairly new (some UK guys claimed it was some sort of sealant on the underbody near the exhaust that was giving the smell.........I used to get it up until the car crossed 15k km.....) |

| check the core under the dash...if the condensation pan's hose is clogged then water accumulates in the drip pan and partially submerges the core which starts corrosion. The scent that you get is the build up of urea (smell like a urinal) in the core as a result of moisture, dirt and deterioration......check and make sure that when the ac is on that water is running outside and under the car from the condensate hose. If this is clogged..this may also result in the condensation dumping onto your floor inside and under you mats. |

^^Are you SURE they changed the filter? Don't take it for granted (even if you paid for it).
I'd check it still if I were you. Probably some fungus started growing on the new one.
(no, I really have never taken out mine as yet ) |
