I was told that the switching on of your car's ac - the engine must be switched on first; then the ac. The source of this news was Ryanair in Trincity. This is supposed to help the compressor clutch or something.

Could anyone give some technical advice on the above Question

Anyway, when the key is in the "Start" position, all electrical power is diverted to the starter. This is the reason that your lights, radio, car charger and everything else cuts off when you start.
The same goes for the compressor. The field coil on the clutch is disconnected (like every other electrical device in your car) for that second or two that it takes you to tumble and start so it's safe to leave it on.

you know a good idea is to let the car warmup before you move it,plus it lets the oil circulate, then you can put the ac on Idea Idea

No sir. the best way to warm up a car is to drive it slowly. Not let it sit idling.

no
just sitting and idling doesnt force the oil up the pump at the same rate
slow driving coats the engine much better

^^mmm.....of course the rate won't be the same, but it will get there eventually not so? it will be very hard to say (quantitatively speaking) how high u can revv the engine from cold start while maintaining that compromise between gettin the circulation going and possibly increasing wear and tear on the engine during the cold start period

maybe the manufacturers should have written an SOP on this like there is for engines in industry Smile
