It should be the first event after SBN. There should be a good turnout of SQ folks. I hope everything will be organized for that to start at the time SQ normally starts.

hmmm...i don't understand you all nah...after i done chain up the man to host SQ in his shows no one making the attempt to try to compete self for the 5th???

dont be surprised if u all see he don't bother with the SQ thing at his shows again eh... Rolling Eyes

in an earlier thread few months ago it was said the first sq event would be on the 26th so i assumed that would mean that the first sq event would be on the 26th

besides my vehicle is being sold at the end of the month sighs

casper i appreciate it you doing this, its just that because there is a such a small handful of sq competitors with installs that take months to build its hard to setup a competition date without feedback from the small handful

yes i know jeff...but at the same time...u all were asking for more SQ competitions locally so i asked him..as how his shows are already IASCA sanctioned and he said he'd try it out for the finals...which was last year

i remember very well letting you guys know that in order to maintain SQ being a part of the roster of competitions for his shows that you all will need to keep showing your interest in the sport to him and show him that you guys dedicated...

i remember @ the last tuner I.C.E meeting, pimptacular and a few others asked me if all MK shows will have SQ and i told him once you all keep doing what ya'll did @ the finals then he will try his best to include it in all 5 shows he is throwing this year...

u guys already missed the 1st show (march 8th) in which SQ was supposed to be included...which i know lots of you guys wouldnt have been ready for but the 2nd show as well???

this one comming @ april 5th is a skinner park show...after this one is the hillview show which is a chariy show which i'm not sure if SQ will b included...(i dunno if mathew talked to u guys and told u anything else bout that show) and after the children is a next south show...trying for mannie ramjohn...and after that....the finals show....so after this show...it come like only 2 more shows again...that might consist of SQ...

after he calls and get blank again from you all for this April show then i dunno how he'd react to ask if u guys ready again by the time his next show comes up...

hey...at least i tried to help you all eh...cant say i never cared for the SQ ppl Laughing

...i'm honetly trying to understand what u guys saying but try to understand the whole situation too plz

The POINT is, that very early, very early, in the year, the dates are announced. This is done to give people time to rebuild. Everyone who is doing any kind of serious SQ build, is gearing up for the 26th, because that was the first show, advertised very early in the year.

Mk has advertised this show this month!! Understand that difference.

Normally, SQ events are held AFTER sbn, such that any last minute rule amendments can be passed out to the judges.

The guys that do sound only with a birds nest of wiring could make a show next weekend.

Guys that heatshrink and sleeve every inch of wire, wont make it till the 26th.

That is as good as gospel WRT IASCA.

The ONLY place any IASCA member will look for info is here.

If IASCA is sanctioning the show, and they know about it, It would have been put on that thread. That was Jan 20th. The only new info being posted on March 09.

We have 2, ready to rawk if need be on the 5th..

The rest have undergone 60-100% rebuilds and were shooting for the 26th.

As far as i can tell there will be SQ on the 5th of april

as it will be the first event after spring break and in keeping with tradition locally we always start SQ after SBN

So on April 5th
SQ IdBL and bass boxing or another variation using he bas boxing rules but that has to be discussed with MK

2 questions
i notice under iasca it says stock 1, 1-260 sq in.....which is the old rules but at the last show the new rules were implemented
can an iasca official please confirm this if the new rules or the old ones will be used

and i notice sq is not on the flyer, so its official that sq will not be at this event ?
