I have on the car presently 205-40-17.

there is no simple answer to this question unless you can tell us the offset of the rim and if you lowered.
best bet is to try it

It think the offset is 7 and the car is not lowered

you probably mean the rim is 7 inches wide
the offset would be something like +40
most front wheel drive rims are between +40 and +28
