buh chiney..i dont think u have to use darcon in yuh boxes....it can jsut be place in the box and it can change up d tuning ah lil bit...correct me if i'm wrong

finally hook this sub up today, and all i can say is WOW, this sub and box playing excellent, very smooth bassline and it shaking my garage shed!

Rovin thanks for a real bess box, the DC really performing.

Cant wait to break it in properly and then crank it up.

yes dacron tricks the subwoofer into thinking it's in a bigger box so it lowers the frequency response of the woofer itself.
It also dampens the back wave smoothening out enclosure resonance peaks and dips and lowers the port tuning frequency by reducing the back wave velocity in the port.

so since it tricks the speaker into thinkin its in a bigger box an as a result lowers the frequency, then i suppose a bigger box gives a lower freqency?
