good morning,

in my 6 years of hosting events this is my first.....

it is with great displeasure and remorse that i inform our dedicated competitors and supporters of our 100% iasca series that this event will be postponed until further notice....

facts leading up to this are as follows:

1. iasca hq has not responded on a timly manner as to wheather they have confirmed a WWJ for the event.

2. The venue was supposed to undergo a face lift but to date nothing has been done...talks with management indicates that the venue nothing may be done to improve this....
there are many obsticles at the venue, (falling walls, debris, loads of materials, rolls of steel) etc that clearly would hamper the safety and wellbeing of our competitors and the general public as a whole..

3. Our major sponsor **** has put a hold on their marketing expenditure until further notice....this affects us greatly since all other expenses are out of pocket...

i do apologise for any inconvinence caused.....and hope for the best in the future

I feel its time to have small dedicated events.

If these big events are not going to happen, is IASCA willing to do something different so that small scale, micro budget events can be run for the sake of the competitors?

I was thinking about this a few weeks ago to put my classes to work and host a "show" like get a carpark or sum and do one of the "Get tested" sessions I had over the past year. The hardest thing for me was to get a venue.

Im down to help in anyway I can- 728 0291,Shirvaan.

That makes it even better. I'm thinking very low scale events, with the only cost being the trophies and the sanctioning/judges fee.

Like I said, Micro budget. Just for the benefit of the Competitors.

x2... keep it small and simple..

It worked really well for the ICE club events so far. However having an IASCA competition will mean that it would get a little larger. Finding a potential venue could be a problem.

AFAIK, the event is on, full steam ahead, pending IASCA sanctioning.
